Down, Down Under: Cakes and Chocolate

We stopped by here for a hot drink and we were not disappointed. The hot chocolate was nice and not overly sweet. The apricot slice had very sweet icing sugar which was balanced out by the apricot bit of the cake. Each drink came with a little bit of chocolate which I thought was a nice touch. Most of the other places I’ve been to do not offer anything with their hot drinks so when I receive something extra from here, I appreciate the thoughtfulness. Small town Aussie hospitality, perhaps.

One picture shows you the cafe in Sheffield. The town is famous for the murals that are painted on the buildings themselves.

Cafe at Blacksmith Gallery, 63 Main Street, TAS 7306.

Mural painting on the building. Lots of such paintings on buildings in Sheffield. The cafe is located here.
